VHE Industrial Automation, a Netherlands-based company, has designed the first machine in the Netherlands to combine ctrlX MOTION with the control platform ctrlX CORE, the heart of the ctrlX AUTOMATION system. This system is designed to be an "open and modular" platform that unites the machine control, information technology and the Internet of Things into one cohesive solution. The system supports a number of different programming languages, which allows the user to choose their preferred language, rather than being limited to a single option as was previously the case with CODESYS. The ability to download individual solutions as apps from the ctrlX AUTOMATION ecosystem also makes it easier to expand the system with additional functionality.
